Depends on why I’m stopping it. If I’m trying to build a certain team, I will look for certain moves and train that pokemon without evloving it to obtain those moves it will only get in that form. I remember doing this with Cyndaquil and the move flamethrower.
If I just want to be a dick and prevent a pokemon from evolving because it’s cute or something. I typically do that with Bulbasaur, cuz he’s adorable.
